WebMy front brake rotors don't get hot at all because I hardly use the brakes. Like the Elkster sez, the air return port in the master cylinder is probably blocked with crystallized brake fluid. The air return port will be the smaller of the two holes seen in the bottom of the fluid reservoir and can be poked out with a pin. WebOct 27, 2010 · I still found crystallized old junk in the bottom of the master cylinder -- I took a small spring puller tool (looks like a screwdriver but has at its end an L-shaped bend with pointed tip) and removed the crystallized junk as much as I could, then sloshed around some brake fluid in the m/c cupand poured it out then used the air compressor.
